Megan is a wildlife biologist and photographer, born and raised in the Sierra Nevada. She spent five seasons working as a field biologist and taking field courses in the Sierra, before completing her B.S. in Wildlife at Humboldt State University. She then worked as a wildlife biologist for a local environmental non-profit for five years, backpacking into remote areas searching for rare wildlife, monitoring mountain meadows, helping with restoration projects, and advocating for the environment. Her desire to deepen her knowledge of the Sierra Nevada keeps her in the mountains, following the calls of songbirds or kneeling down to identify a flower. With a keen eye and ear, Megan seeks unique wildlife encounters, and loves to help others see all the beauty the Sierra has to offer.
